Not at all. Only the Hot Seat singers take the stage. Auditors come to watch and learn and in a masterclass, that's a genuinely powerful way to grow. Choose the seat that fits where you are.
This is built for intermediate to advanced singers, anyone who already sings and keeps running into the break. Total beginners will still gain a lot from a day in the room, but the live coaching is pitched at singers ready to work on real repertoire.
The retreat (August 16–22, in the hills of Lori) is a seven-day immersion for 13 singers. This masterclass is the one public day in Yerevan, the accessible door into Greg's work while he's in the country. Shorter, in the city, open to a wider room. Many people do one or the other; both are the same teacher and the same method.
One song you know well that has at least first bridge, in any genre ideally one that exposes the break you want to work on. You'll submit it when you book so Greg arrives ready for your voice. Bring a backing track or sheet music for our accompanist.
Yes and many should. Watching a master diagnose and correct the bridges in real time is one of the best forms of teacher training there is. Teachers are welcome in either tier.
Because the room is small and stage spots are strictly limited, places are non-transferable to a refund once booked. If your plans change, message us we'll do what we reasonably can. Full terms are shared at registration.
All payments are non-refundable in the event of voluntary cancellation, as spots are limited and the retreat is planned based on confirmed attendance. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and medical emergencies - this is standard practice for any international retreat of this caliber. If Profty LLC cancels the retreat, all payments are fully refunded.
